This poem was written by my friend Yasmin and I think it perfectly underlines the subject of Ophelia
Ophelia
Drowning in the love of despair
A maiden so fair
The pain of desolation
And loss in her eyes
As she withers and dies
Lost mermaid
At low in the stream
In sun shell glean
The lonesome rejection
Of words once spoken
And a promise now broken
From the grasps of her men
Sheil drift
No longer a gift
Free from his oppression
Abused and now left
To swim to her death
In madness her voice was heard
Emancipation of words
Freedom in suffocation
Now you will see her
Our young free Ophelia...
